THE 2018 MOSS END HORSE SHOW

This show took place on Sunday 8 July 2018, on SMITHS LAWN, WINDSOR GREAT PARK, SL5 0PT
by kind permission of Windsor Park Equestrian Club

The weather on show day was HOT, although it was quite pleasant in the morning while the sun was rising. As a result, the number of entries was down to a disappointing level, and some classes had to be cancelled. All the same, in many ways the Show was a success, with the quality of planning showing through; the judges, stewards and the many volunteers and helpers did a grand job under far-from-ideal conditions; there was space for all that had to be done, so the showground was good - even if the grass was not green (and the ground as soft) as it was for the polo areas! We have had some lovely messages from people who enjoyed the show despite the weather, and we will look forward to better conditions next year.

We are very grateful to the Crown Estate for permitting us to use the Smiths Lawn site, and for their helpfulness and support in all the process and administration that was needed to make it all happen. We are also grateful for the cheerful support of the Trade people, for whom the day was not 'the greatest', and to all who worked so hard to make it all happen.
